SCHOLARSHIP

Conducted by State Govt. for std IV and VII generally in the month of February. It has 3 papers on the same day. Each paper carries 100 marks, 50 questions (MCQ) for 1 hour duration. 1 hour rest period is between 2 papers.
Subjects are : Maths, Science, Language (English and Marathi), History, Geography and intelligence.

YOUNG SCIENTIST

Dr. Homi Bhabha Young scientist exam is organized by Greater Bombay Science Teachers Association from more than past 25 years. It is for std VI and IX. It has three stages. First written exam is held in September. 7% of the total students get quality for next practical exam, held in January at Pune. 7% from these get quality for the interview in February at Mumbai.

Organised by Ganit Adhyapak Mandal. It is for std V and VIII. Paper is subjective in nature. It has three stages. 1st exam is called Pre Pravinya held in September (This is only in Kolhapur district). If get qualify, then 2nd exam is Pravinya held in December 1st week. If get qualify then Pradnya is held in February. From Pradnya, first 50 students from all over Maharashtra get medal & other get certificate forms are to be filled through school in July 1st week.

MTSE (Jalagaon):
Maharashtra talent search exam, It is for std III & VI. Subjects: Maths, Science, Intelligence, History, Geography and Language. Forms can be filled through us.

MTSE (Pune):
For std VIII, IX and X. Organised by Wadia College Pune. Subjects: Maths, Science, Intelligence, History, Geography and Language. Forms can be filled through School.

Central Govt. organises this exam in 2 stages. It is for std X. Stage 1 : Organised by state Govt. in December. It has 1 paper of 2 sections. Section 1 is MAT (intelligences 100 marks 100 questions). Section 2 is SAT has maths, science, history, geography (100 marks, 100 questions). Duration is 3 hrs. second stage is May.

For std XII in April 1st week. Forms to be filled online in November/ December. Syllabus and other information is available on their website. One can get admission to all NIT’s , State Autonomous, State Govt. aided and non aided Engineering colleges.

Syllabus and other information is available on their website. Exam in June 1st week. Those who stand in first 1,50,000in JEE main (this has 50% reservation) get eligible to face JEE advanced through this exam, one can get admission to IIT & IISER.

Kishore Vaidnyanik Protsahan Yojana – It is organized by Indian institute of sciences – Bangalore. One can face it in XI or XII. In XI syllabus is upto std X, including biology. Exam is in November. If one succeeds it, can get direct admission to IISER. A scholarship of Rs. 4000/- PM is awarded uptil the completion of education.

Wisdom Mathematics: Organised by Vaidya foundation Pune. From std III to std VIII every year its different exam but only for mathematics its text books are provided by the Organisation. Exam is in February.
